Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. Policy Overview
This Cancellation and Refund Policy ('Policy') applies to all ticket purchases made on the Beans Media
Platform for movie screenings and other events hosted or organised by Beans Media.
Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, we are required to make our refund and
cancellation terms clearly available before the point of purchase. This Policy constitutes that mandatory
pre-purchase disclosure.
By completing a ticket purchase, you expressly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed
to the terms of this Policy, which forms part of the Terms and Conditions governing your use of the
Platform.
2. No Cancellation, No Refund Policy
All ticket sales made through the Beans Media Platform are final.
Once a ticket purchase is confirmed and payment is successfully processed, the booking cannot be
cancelled by the User under any circumstances.
No refund, whether full or partial, will be issued for:
• Cancellations initiated by the User for any reason whatsoever, including change of plans, illness,
scheduling conflict, personal emergency, or inability to attend
• Failure to attend the event (no-show)
• Late arrival at the venue resulting in denied entry
• Refusal of entry at the venue due to violation of event rules, venue rules, or applicable law
• User-provided incorrect personal details, including an incorrect email address that prevented ticket
delivery
• Technical issues on the User's device, internet connection, or email account that prevented receipt
or access to the ticket
This policy is prominently disclosed at the checkout stage before payment is initiated. By completing
payment, you confirm your informed and voluntary acceptance of this condition.
3. Non-Transferability
All tickets are strictly personal and non-transferable. A ticket purchased by one individual cannot be
reassigned, gifted, sold, donated, or transferred to any other person under any circumstances.The resale or secondary distribution of tickets through any channel, including but not limited to social
media platforms, online marketplaces, or third-party ticket agencies, is expressly prohibited and may
result in the cancellation of the affected ticket without refund and, where applicable, may attract legal
action.
Entry at the venue is subject to identity verification. Beans Media reserves the right to deny entry to any
person who cannot establish to the reasonable satisfaction of venue staff that they are the registered
ticket holder.
4. Event Cancellation by Beans Media
In the exceptional circumstance where Beans Media cancels an event in its entirety prior to the event
date, all registered ticket holders will be notified promptly via email at the address provided at the time of
booking.
In such cases, Beans Media will offer one of the following remedies:
• A full refund of the ticket face value and service fee, credited to the original payment method within
seven (7) to ten (10) working days, subject to Razorpay and the issuing bank's processing timelines
• A credit or voucher redeemable against a future Beans Media event of equivalent or greater value,
valid for a specified period as communicated in the cancellation notice
The applicable remedy will be clearly communicated in the cancellation notification email.
Beans Media's liability upon event cancellation is strictly limited to the ticket face value and service fee
paid. No additional compensation will be provided for travel expenses, accommodation, loss of income,
or other consequential costs incurred by the User.
5. Event Rescheduling or Material Modification
If Beans Media postpones, reschedules, or materially modifies an event (such as a change of venue,
date, or primary content), affected ticket holders will be notified via email as soon as reasonably
practicable.
Tickets will by default remain valid for the rescheduled or modified event. If you are unable to attend the
rescheduled event, you must notify Beans Media in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of receiving the
rescheduling notification to the contact details in Section 9.
Refund eligibility in the case of rescheduling will be assessed on a case-by-case basis at Beans Media's
discretion and is not guaranteed.
Minor or administrative changes to event details, such as screen or hall assignment within the same
venue, seating configuration, or minor programme adjustments, shall not constitute grounds for a refund.
6. Duplicate Payments and Technical Errors
If you have been charged more than once for the same ticket due to a technical error on the Platform or
payment gateway, please contact our Grievance Officer immediately with your payment reference
number(s) and any confirmation emails received.Verified duplicate charges will be refunded to the original payment method within seven (7) to ten (10)
working days, subject to Razorpay's processing timelines and bank clearance periods.
Razorpay's payment records and the Platform's booking system logs will be the primary references for
investigating and resolving any claim of duplicate payment.
7. Chargeback and Dispute Policy
Initiating an unauthorised or fraudulent chargeback with your bank or payment provider in respect of a
validly confirmed ticket purchase constitutes a material breach of these Terms and the Indian Contract
Act, 1872.
Beans Media reserves the right to contest any such chargeback with supporting documentation and to
seek recovery of the disputed amount, along with reasonable administrative and legal costs, from the
User.
If you have a genuine concern about a charge, please contact our Grievance Officer using the details in
Section 9 before initiating a chargeback. We will endeavour to resolve the matter promptly.
8. Consumer Rights and Applicable Law
This Policy is framed in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection
(E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and all applicable Indian law.
Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under Indian law where such rights cannot be
lawfully excluded. Where any provision of this Policy is found to be inconsistent with a mandatory
statutory right, the statutory right shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
Consumers who believe their rights have been violated may approach the Consumer Disputes Redressal
Commission having territorial jurisdiction over their place of residence or the place of transaction. The
National Consumer Helpline (NCH) may also be reached at 1800-11-4000.

We will acknowledge your query within forty-eight (48) hours and endeavour to provide a substantive
resolution within fifteen (15) working days of receipt.All disputes arising out of this Policy shall be governed by the laws of India and shall be subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chandigarh, India.
This Cancellation and Refund Policy is effective as of 18 June 2025 and applies to all transactions on or after this date.
